The Aerospatiale ( Nord Aviation) 262A is a short distance commuter jet machining up to 29 passengers. Originally known as Super Broussard MH262 , Nord 262 was designed by former la Société des Avions Max Holste . Development of 17 seat commuter light aircraft , known as MH250 Super Broussard began in 1957 . Prototype MH250 , supported by two Pratt & Whitney Wasp - 1830 piston engine , first flew on May 20, 1959 . The OY - BCO first flight on March 30, 1967 as F - WNDD and served as OY - BCO to Cimber Air on July 8, 1967 . It is sold in the United States in 1977 and registered with the N274A Altair . N274A transferred to the National Commuter Airlines April 1982 ; rented to Pompano Airways in January 1984. N274A registration canceled on March 3, 1999 as the Nord sold in Honduras . In Honduras this Nord 262 operated by Aerolineas Sosa as HR - ARP .
